Robor Open Sections Robor Open Sections is the original manufacturer of cold formed steel sections in South Africa. With over 50 years of industry experience, this division supplies a comprehensive range of standard, special and made to order cold formed steel sections, as well as value added services which include punching, light fabrication and painting. The division’s ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited facilities produce the widest range of profiles and offer the best stockholding of popular lip channels in the country. Open Sections is the preferred choice for specifiers and end users.

Products at a Glance

• Standard product range includes: lipped and open channels, lipped zeds and angles and top hats.

• Special profiles in all shapes and sizes are available on request.

Products are manufactured from commercial quality hot rolled steel (SAE 1008) in thicknesses ranging from 0.45mm to 6.0mm. Other grades of steel, including stainless steel 3CR12 and high tensile thin gauge steels, are available on request. All cold formed steel sections are produced to the DIN EN 10162 manufacturing specification. A table of physical properties for the standard product range shown in the product section is available in an interactive format. This allows for various options to be calculated in order to arrive at the optimal section size.
