This division offers a number of products manufactured specifically for the energy
sector, as well as value added services.

• Side wall framing sections for heat exchanger bundles
• Electrostatic precipitator plates – 4 different types

Services

• Cutting to length
• Squaring to ends of side wall frames
• Punching spigotting
• Huck bolting and/or riveting of brackets to ends of the plates
• Manufacture of special crates for the safe transportation of plates to site

Robor Tube – Hot Rolled Steel Tube and Pipe

All products manufactured by this division comply with the SABS 62 standard. Products include tube for steam and water reticulation, as well as mechanical and structural tubular support structures.

Robor Precision Tube – Cold Rolled Tube and Pipe

A complete range of high quality, high tolerance cold rolled and oval heat exchanger tubing is manufactured in accordance with customer specifications. Eddy current and pressure testing capabilities are also available.

Robor Steel Services – Drawn Steel Sections

The products supplied by this division, heavy walled squares, ovals and rectangles,
are used for transformer bases and nozzles in headers in endplates. Lighter
squares and rectangles are also produced for use in transformers to convey oil.

Robor Galvanizers – Hot Dip Galvanizing

Robor Galvanizers galvanizes side walls in its 14 metre kettle. It also has the
flexibility in being able to process larger sections and profiles through its Line 2
kettle, the deepest and widest kettle in South Africa. All galvanizing is done in
accordance with SANS 121 (ISO 1461).

Capabilities and services include:

• Throughput capacity in excess of 250 tons per day
• Transport fleet to collect and deliver customer's products
• Lay-down area for ease of inspection, identification and collation
• Shot blasting facility on-site
